Weekly Memo (January 6-10)
Rested and Ready
I always love Christmas break for two reasons— it gives everyone time to rest and it also gives everyone a fresh start. We had a great break at the Collier household, and I hope all of you did as well.
I was blown away by the Christmas gifts from our class— thank you! We tried to use all of our gift cards over the break, and I also made it a point to drink as much coffee and eat as many sweets as possible! I received a couple of Amazon gift cards, and I thought long and hard about what to buy with them because I wanted to spend them on things 5th graders would approve of. I think I nailed it (see video below).

I can’t wait for school to start tomorrow! I’ve missed seeing everyone, and I’m looking forward to hearing about their adventures over the break. It’s going to be a great final semester for these kids at PV, and I know we’re going to make some special memories.
What We’re Learning This Week (if all goes as planned)
I’ll mark each thing we get finished, and you can check back each day to see what we were able to get accomplished (and what we didn’t quite make it to).
