Weekly Memo (December 9-13)
A "Normal" Week
Last week was an interesting week. We came back from Thanksgiving break, went to Harding University on Tuesday, had a "normal" day of school on Wednesday, attacked the track on Thursday, and had a "normal" Friday (if a "normal" Friday even exists).
While that may sound like an abnormal week, I’m learning to consider that just another week in the life of 5th grade. To be honest, though, it’s not much different from how things go on Mustang Mountain. It always seems like something’s going on every week, an activity is scheduled, and a trip or two is planned.
I’m good with that, though, and the kids are, too. We had a lot of fun, still accomplished a lot of classwork, and we learned through experiences. I don’t think it gets much better than that.
As I look ahead at the next two weeks, it seems like it’ll be much of the same— so I guess it’ll be a "normal" week for us after all.
Redworm Update
- They’re alive (mostly).
- The food is molding.
- Their habitats smell awful.
