Weekly Memo (April 6-10)
Week One In the Books
We made it through week one of remote learning! (We did make it, right?!)
Between running my first few Zoom meetings, answering questions, troubleshooting issues, writing online lesson plans, helping Cooper and Millie Kate with their classes, keeping an eye on a 4-year-old and a 2-year-old, and helping take care of a newborn baby, this was quite a week! Friday tired was a new kind of tired for me.
But that’s ok. In spite of all that, it was a good week for me, and I hope it was a good week for you.
I was asked some great questions from students (that I probably wouldn’t have been asked in class), I was able to pinpoint some specific math skills we need to work on, I was able to meet with small groups as we start reading a new book together, and I was able to see all of my students again a few different times this week through Zoom. I’d call that a win!
For me, this past week was trying to figure out a routine, creating workspaces, and learning the new ways we’ll be doing things. I’m guessing it was like that at your home as well.
This week should be a little smoother. I’m looking forward to adding some science and social studies lessons to our work routine, and I think the kids will really enjoy them.
Have a great week! If you need help or have any questions, please let me know!
Mr. C.
